Shamane began her professional career as an apprentice in the pastry kitchen of the prestigious Four Star, Flagstaff House in Denver, Colorado. After honing her culinary skills at the Sugar Bush Resort and Tucker's Bed and Breakfast, Shamane enrolled in the prestigious Scottsdale Culinary Institute and graduated in 1994 with a degree in Culinary Arts, Sciences and Restaurant Management. She has continued her formal education, attending numerous training seminars many hosted by the International School of Confectionary Art.
