Dr. Zhu grew up in Beijing, China. After 4 years of undergraduate study at Tsinghua University, she was awarded a Fellowship to attend Cornell University in upstate New York. While conducting human clinical trials at Cornell University towards her Ph. D. Degree in Nutrition, she rekindled her childhood dream of becoming a physician. In 2001, she received her M. D. Degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City.
