Since the founding of Smart's Truck & Trailer Equipment in 1971 by Donnie & Virginia Smart, the business has increased from a team of three (Donnie, his wife and one employee) to a complete work force of 45 expertly trained, top notch specialists. Donnie envisioned a truck and trailer repair facility that focused on getting the client back on the road. He often worked day and night to make sure the clients knew they were important. With this dedication to the client in mind Donnie acquired the Volvo (then WHITEGMC) product line to become a complete line new truck dealer in 1987.
