Thank you, Jon!

Last season, my husband and I bought two boats from Smith Yacht Sales. We purchased a new Southport for fishing and a used boat for overnight cruising. The new Southport purchase was difficult due to supply chain and labor issues affecting many boat manufacturers.

The used cruising boat presented a different set of challenges, requiring a thorough examination of all issues before purchase. It is uncommon to find a dealer or broker skilled in both areas. We were lucky to have Jon Trega from SYS assist us with each sale. Jon regularly visited the Southport factory to track progress on our new boat and ensure everything was being done to finish it as soon as possible, despite difficulties in sourcing parts and labor.

Jon's efforts led to the successful delivery of our new Southport on time, allowing us to use it for part of the season and become familiar with it before this season. On the brokerage side, Jon coordinated with various parties to carefully analyze the boat's condition. This season, we are enjoying the results of Jon's efforts on our behalf. As avid boaters who spend a lot of time on board, we have purchased two boats from Jon and sold one, with all transactions being outstanding thanks to him.

As lifetime boaters who have bought and sold many boats, Jon is the best dealer or broker we have worked with.
