Our school is run by an awesome staff of instructors lead by Chief Instructor/Owner and 6th Dan Black belt Master Wayne Jones who founded Soaring Eagles Taekwondo Academy in 1995. Our curriculum combines Taekwondo, Judo, Aikido, Brazilian Jui Jitsu, and Krav Maga techniques. All styles studied over a 40 year martial art career by Master Jones. We are dedicated to providing a safe and family-oriented Martial Arts experience for students of all ages, creeds, and backgrounds.

read moreSoaring Eagles Taekwondo Academy had its humble beginnings in January 1995 at the Greater Vallejo Recreation District Center on Amador Street, Vallejo, CA. At that time the program was called GVRD Taekwondo. We started with 9 students; three of them our own children. The name Soaring Eagles Taekwondo was coined after Master Wayne Jones read a book titled "Soaring with Eagles". He was inspired by the eagles' ability to soar above the storm, and their commitment to family for life. After several years at GVRD we started another location at the Lakeridge Health Club where we remained until 2001.

read moreThe Transported After-School Taekwondo program is an original after-school program with transportation provided, a constructive alternative to day care, extended day at school and babysitting, with competitive prices. This is a week to week program with no contract. We teach life skills; this is not a day care! Students will get daily exercise, learn discipline, manners, respect for teachers and parents as well as themselves. They will learn self-defense and temper management (how to win and how to lose gracefully!).
