From humble beginnings to a surprising success, Softball Oregon began with one fastpitch student pitcher in July 1984 and now has students from all over the NW. Today there is a year-round average of 300 or more softball students and over 150 baseball students ranging in ages from 6 through 22 years old attending Softball Oregon development programs. Several of these students have been with Softball Oregon for 10 years! Some have gone on to college and several have even gained scholarships to higher education institutions.

He further has a certificate from Harvard University for completion of an on campus training for "Senior Executives in State and Local Government". In addition he has served as the Chief Administrative Officer for Marion County, Oregon for over 19 years.
