The instructors in this network will travel to the South Bay cities of Torrance CA, Redondo & Manhattan Beach CA, Rolling Hills & Palos Verdes, for in home tutor lessons for such subjects as math, English, Spanish, Algebra, Geometry, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, SAT & ACT prep, and more. We are also in the West LA area in such cities as Culver City and Playa Vista. As we are not a company we pay no money for bookkeepers, office rent, executives' salaries, etc. Each tutor makes his/her own rates and is paid directly. This set up attracts the very best tutors into the network and saves you money.
The tutors you see on our site are here because each is great at what he/she does. I go to great lengths to ensure that each tutor is a well rounded "10" with regards to knowledge of his/her subjects, personality traits, experience, and results with past and current pupils. Their "tutoring personalities" include plenty of patience and enthusiasm. Before being added to the site I check their tutoring experience and references, and make sure they have great tutoring skills. I then follow up with their current clients...making sure that those students and parents are happy with the results obtained from working with the tutor. A Redondo Beach resident, the cities she will go to for in home math and chemistry tutoring include Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Hermosa, Palos Verdes, and Rolling Hills.
Unlike many math and science tutors Michi has an easy going and fun personality. She has great explanation skills and adapts her teaching style to fit the needs of each student.
Michi got her bachelor's degree in Biopsychology from UC Santa Barbara with a GPA of 3.74. She was on the Dean's list on a yearly basis from 2008 to 2012, and was in the honor's program from 2010 to 2012.

Tutorread moreGrowing up in Palos Verdes I had the good fortune to attend one of the best public schools in the nation, PV Peninsula High, where I graduated in 1994. I then went on to Long Beach State and received my bachelor's degree in finance in 1999....having completed courses in business calculus, finite math, and calculus as applied to economics. Some hobbies I had then and continue to have to this day include reading history, non-fiction writing, swimming, philosophy, and many others. I also enjoy teaching kids and adults to swim....and in 2005 became red cross certified as a water safety instructor. I also have a strong passion for advocating for people who have fibromyalgia.....a sleep/pain/fatigue disorder affecting 2-4% of the population. Following my 1999 graduation I worked various jobs after that point but never seemed to find my calling.
