Our award winning chef, Sam Sears (sam@southvanevents.com) CEC, heads up our culinary team. He was named Chef of the Year for 2001 by his peers in the American Culinary Federation - Bluegrass Chapter. He is certified by the American Culinary Federation as a Certified Executive Chef, a designation achieved by less than 1% of all working chefs in the US today.

read moreThe Headley-Whitney Museum off Old Frankfort Pike in Lexington, where many of the finest thoroughbred horse farms in the world reside, was the setting for the outdoor ceremony and reception. Greg is a farm manager at a local thoroughbred farm, Angus Glen and Paula grew up with thoroughbreds on the Bluegrass horse farm her father had previously owned, Prestonwood Farm. So the outdoor setting was a natural fit. Guests were provided a white paper fan just waiting to stir a cool breeze on each wooden chair.
