read moreNotification: Applicants will get word in mid-February that they are either accepted, wait-listed, or declined. If your family does not hear anything by the end of February, please email the special programs staff. Our gifted and talented services are designed to match the unique needs, abilities, and interests of Fayette County students. From primary through high school, students are encouraged to maximize their abilities through a wide range of services that offer appropriate learning opportunities to nurture their individual gifts and talents.
Child Nutrition
read moreMeals are distributed at school and community pickup locations between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Mondays (two breakfasts and two lunches) and Wednesdays (three breakfasts and three lunches), with adjustments for holidays (Presidents Day on Feb. 15) and inclement weather. Food bags are available at any site regardless of student enrollment. Please limit pickups to once per household so there's enough food for everyone in need. Our district, through federally assisted meal programs, provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost, or free meals to students each school day.
Media Services
read moreWe provide our schools with the power, guidelines, and know-how to implement excellent library media programs that can help boost student achievement. We also assist schools in handling their library books and audio/visual materials, and we operate a districtwide lending library of 5,000 resources in our Teacher Resource Center (FCPS staff only). Interpreting & Translation Services
read moreFayette County Public Schools is a diverse district with more than 90 spoken languages. To meet these students' and families' needs, we have an in-house team of 80 to 85 interpreters representing more than 30 languages. This office is responsible for listening to, understanding, interpreting, and translating for students and families for whom English is not their first language. If English is not your native language, you have the right to request an interpreter for all school-related meetings and events at no cost to you.
Infinite Campus
read moreThe Kentucky Department of Education uses software called Infinite Campus to manage student records in all school districts across the state. This is a fully web-based system, and a single database houses all the records for a district. Families are encouraged to keep their household information up-to-date with the school office. The Campus Portal gives families access to students' attendance records, grades, class assignments, and more. If you have problems with our support site, please email the IC staff with the following information: parent/guardian full name, preferred email address, street address, student's name, date of birth, plus any details or error messages.
