St Francis Catholic High School

In 1999 the high school task force found that Bishop Kenny High School had reached its optimum size, and recommended that it not be expanded further. St. Joseph Academy is St. Augustine was in need of expansion and upgrades that were already in the planning stage. As for the addition of new catholic high schools, the report concluded that Clay County / Western Duval County and Gainesville were the two most logical areas for growth. To suit all of these high school requirements, the task force recommended that a united, Diocesan-huge fundraising campaign be undertaken with professional guidance.
