St. Mary's Home for Disabled Children in Norfolk is a special place full of love and laughter, where kids and young adults from all across Virginia live, play, go to school and receive complex, professional, around-the-clock care in a nurturing, comfortable environment to assist them achieve their fullest potential. St. Mary's Home is Virginia's biggest long-term pediatric domestic care facility dedicated exclusively to kids with severe physical and intellectual disabilities and one of only about 100 facilities of its kind nationwide.

Liz had been a risk manager for Sentara Healthcare, based out of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, since July 2017.

The library includes a flat-screen television with DVD player, cable television, books, tables and comfortable chairs. The second visiting room also is equipped with a flat-screen television and DVD player, cable television, mini refrigerator, microwave and comfortable chairs. Movies are available and can be checked in/out with the receptionist at the front desk.
