The NFL spent 100's of 1000's of dollars developing a special website for Super Bowl 43. There was special flash animation and the graphics were unbelievable. The problem was that the site did not get indexed for the search engines. When someone went to Google and typed in Super Bowl, the NFL's site was nowhere near the top 10. And, as you know from your own experience searching online, if you aren't on Google's 1st page, you might as well not exist.
