Standard Travel Service Incorporated has been serving the St. Louis area's travel requirements since 1912. Our firm was 1st appointed by airlines to sell tickets in 1954. Prior to that Standard Travel specialized in rail travel and trans-Atlantic ship crossings. Standard Travel moved to our own building in South St. Louis in 1971. We started using the SABRE reservation system in 1976. SABRE is a system for confirming hotels, car rentals, tours, and airline tickets.
