Strategic Investments was set up in 1983 as an autonomous subsidiary of a huge diversified financial institution and subsequently acquired by the principals in 1989. The company is run and operated by the individuals who were responsible for the investment operations since formation. Since inception, Strategic Investments has made more than 75 acquisitions while investing more than a quarter billion dollars of equity and equity-equivalents.
