Sunny Vista, once known as Sunnyrest Sanatorium, was conceived in 1909 to supply a comfortable place for those who were suffering from tuberculosis, but lacked the financial resources to afford the necessary services and care. The fee for care at Sunnyrest would be kept to a maximum of $8 per week. A fundraising campaign ensued to raise the $25, 000, which would be needed to build and operate the sanatorium. Sunnyrest opened its doors to the community in 1911.

About Us
read moreOur Activities Program includes numerous outings, activities, and therapeutic events for all of our residents. Our Volunteer program includes 1:1 visits, church and bible study, Catholic Communion, manicures, assistance with special events, bingo and outings. Several employees volunteered their time this year to assist in various areas of the department, such as cooking class and special holidays. Several residents enjoy volunteering providing plants to new residents and creating crafts for the enjoyment of everyone.
