Tae Kwon Do Academy

The American Korean Tae Kwon Do Association (AKTA) was established by Grandmaster Choon Lee, who founded its Headquarters, Choon Lee's Academy, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, in 1973. The AKTA is one of the premier martial-arts organizations in the Midwest and is considered as the Best Dojo in the Greater Kansas City area. The AKTA has produced more than 1, 000 black belts of both genders and of all ages; and maintained a diversity of cultures, rich heritage of Master-ranked instructors, World Champions, Junior Olympic competitors, and outstanding martial artists.
