Talho Ryu Karate & Ju-Jitsu

Translated into English, it means the art of arresting. Taiho-Ryu is an American-based martial arts system developed by Fleming (Bo) Hardy, ninth degree black belt, in the early 1970's. Elements from many martial arts systems, including jujitsu, Isshin-Ryu, Shotokan, and Taekwondo have influenced the development of Taiho-Ryu. Drawing heavily from Taiho-Jutsu, a jujitsu style used by the Japanese police forces, the system blends these elements into an effective style of self defense, with the emphasis on practicality, rather than sport.
