1957 - James E. Tomblinson, FAIA returns from San Francisco to establish an architecture practice with Cliff Gibbs. Jim is a graduate of the University of Michigan with graduate study at University of California, Berkeley. In the company's early days when jobs were slow, Jim and Cliff passed the time playing ping pong in the garage. 1961 - Attracted by the innovative quality of work emanating from what would become known as THA, Jerry Harburn joined the company in 1961.
