The Edward Thompson Agency (predecessor of Thompson Insurance. Was established in 1964 by Edward M. Thompson. After a stint in the family wholesale grocery business and then later as a homebuilder, Mr. Thompson decided to begin his own independent insurance agency. His hard work, commitment to professionalism, and civic involvement ensured his success. Nephew, George Thompson, after a several years in the grocery business, joined Mr. Thompson in 1977. Later on, two of Mr. Thompson's sons, Irby and Robert, joined the agency as well.
