He just made reasonably priced sandwiches the way he liked them - made to order in a deli style format and stuffed with fresh, wholesome ingredients. Soon there were lines out the door and Togo's Sandwiches was on its way to becoming one of California's most beloved sandwich shops. Now, over three decades later, Togo's is still crafting the finest sandwiches, on the West Coast, with over 240 franchise restaurants serving over a million guests per month.

Overnight, Togo's became a favorite for hungry students in San Jose, California. A second restaurant opened in 1974 in downtown San Jose and franchising began in the late 1970s.
