My name is Margaret Warner, and I have had the pleasure of being involved with The Toy Store since its birth in 1976. Our business has increased, and today we sport two of the biggest independently owned specialty toy stores in the world! Our flagship store in Topeka is over 20, 000 square feet of fun, and has been awarded the prestigious Playthings Award numerous times by the Toy International Association. Our Lawrence, Kansas store is situated in a pretty historic downtown, and attracts shoppers from all over the world.

read moreThe Toy Store, Inc. has been in business since 1975, and is one of the largest independently owned toy stores in the United States! The company began in Topeka, KS - we opened our first store downtown in 1976! As we continued to grow, we moved down the street to a larger location on Kansas Avenue, and even opened a second Topeka location in Fairlawn Plaza. We eventually relocated both Topeka stores to our current location, at 5300 SW 21st Street. In 1998 we opened a store on historic Massachusetts street in downtown Lawrence, KS.

read moreHave a representative from your group or organization contact us, and schedule a "Shopping Weekend" (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) for your group. The Toy Store will provide reproducible flyers to distribute to your group! Individuals/Families from your group can shop at The Toy Store over your scheduled weekend. When they make their purchases, have them reference the name of your group or organization. After your shopping weekend concludes, we'll total the sales flagged with your group name. After a 30 day waiting period (to allow for any returns or exchanges), your organization will receive a percentage of the sales as either store credit or a check!
