George Treiber was a flatwork contractor who moved to Davenport, Iowa from Germany before the turn of the century. George's work ethic and craftsmanship were continued by his son Karl H. Treiber, who established what is now Treiber Construction Company in 1929. Treiber Construction experienced steady growth in the domestic flatwork and foundation market, and in the early 1980's, Steve and Dave Treiber guided the firm's focus into the commercial.
