read moreOur red door opens at 8:00am. Open play-based stations are in full swing during the rolling morning drop-off time. We encourage families to arrive by 9:00am to make the most of this time. Typically around 9:30, we transition to group activities and/or specialty classes. Morning snack and outside time follow, then lunch and quiet time/nap, and Post Day dependent on schedules.

read morePlay is active learning which is critical to development. Through play children make sense of their experiences, build ideas, activate imagination, begin to initiate, self-regulate, problem solve, and build confidence and original thinking skills. Learning through play in the classroom and in nature is the foundation of our educational approach. At TPG, while they are busy playing, children build trust and form important first relationships, gain some early independence, explore and discover new skills, develop attention, reflection, and resilience, and learn and practice principles of respect, kindness, responsibility, and collaboration in a supportive and nurturing environment.

read moreOur goal is to create an atmosphere which makes learning a pleasant, exciting experience - one which will both encourage and inspire the children to explore the possibilities of all that surrounds them. We attempt to maximize the potential of each child at his or her particular level. We want this to be a positive preschool experience for the children in our class. The morning is very active, with times set aside to work on projects which incorporate reading and math readiness, science, and nature.

read moreOur team of three teachers lovingly guides our Toddler group. The daily program provides a variety of age-appropriate activities for individual and group creativity. Through books and music, arts and crafts, circle time, and free play we help develop motor, language, socialization, and cognitive skills. Classroom favorites are making baby birds and nests, creating spring kites and hand print rainbows, munching and crunching, chatting together, singing, rhyming, drawing, dancing, and reading books that promote curiosity, wonder and imagination!

read moreEnrollment is open to children from 18 months to 5 1/2 years and shall be granted without regard to a child's race, color, creed, religion, national origin, gender, or disability; and without regard to a parent's or guardian's race, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, gender, pregnancy or disability. The application process at Trinity Playgroup begins with a site visit. For our incoming Toddler Class, prospective families are invited to schedule a school visit as early as July 1st for the next academic year.
