These cartons have a double wall construction and are used for glassware, dishes, lamps, and other fragile items. When packing, start by padding the bottom with three inches of crumpled paper. Work in layers using plenty of crushed paper in between while simultaneously wrapping pieces individually. Bigger items, such as plates, go on the bottom in a vertical placement. This kind of placement reduces stress on the dishware. Cups, glasses, and stemware should be placed on top.
