In 1945, Albert L Tweeds, Sr. Opened a tiny locksmith shop in downtown Portsmouth. Few years later, Ernie Floyd joined him and as their business grew, they relocated their shop to its present location at 601 Elm Ave. Over the years Tweeds continued to expand and office aid, sales people and technicians were added to the work force. Tweeds became a distributor for hundred of manufacturers of locksmith provides, hardware and related materials.
