Martial Arts Club in Little Rock, AR
Martial Arts Club in Little Rock, AR Grand Master Ngo Dong established Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts in 1965 in Hue, Vietnam. To develop a strong moral and spiritual foundation for his style, Grand Master Dong interjected his individual philosophy of self-improvement, community service, and love and respect for others. In Vietnam, Cuong Nhu was more than just another martial art. It provided an ideological touchstone for its students, young people who had grown up in a sadly disjointed, war-torn society.

read moreWe are currently holding classes in person and on Zoom simultaneously. See the schedule for details about which classes are exceptions. All in person classes require temperature checks, masks, hand washing and no contact (with the exception of pod training classes which require a contract with exclusive pod members). We clean and disinfect the dojo after each class so we'll end 15 minutes before the next class to allow time for that and to keep from overfilling the space as classes change. Any class larger than 12 students will have to split into our second dojo space.

Students do not need uniforms but will wear protective wraps for the hands and are encouraged to have their own bag gloves and jump rope. Kickboxing is not only an excellent workout on its own, but also ideal for teaching Cuong Nhu and Tai Chi students correct form for striking while building endurance, timing, and strength. As an added bonus, heavy bag work is an excellent way to increase bone density as you age.
