The Gebran family has been in the restaurant business since 1974. The 1st restaurant opened by the Gebran family was in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The restaurant, Oscar's was named after the father. Oscar, wanting to instill nice and traditional work ethics in his four sons, actually used the assistance of his, then young boys, to assist in the building of their 1st restaurant. After many successful years at Oscar's and after having made tens of 1000's of pancakes and fried even more eggs (two eggs to each pancake) Oscar.
