VA Federal Credit Union

Our credit union is one of the oldest in the state of Alabama. The credit union was established in 1946 by employees of the Veterans Administration in Montgomery, Alabama. A credit union is a truly unique financial institution, one which is owned by its members. It is a not-for-profit, democratically owned organization, and that is one of the primary reasons why a credit union differs from a commercial bank or savings and loan. The cooperative spirit and philosophy that gave the 1st credit unions a beginning still exist today.
