All of us at Vanderbilt believe in creating a positive learning environment both in the classroom and at the bedside. Both Drs. Wrenn and Slovis are nationally known educators and set the standard for the department's style-interactive teaching in a relaxed but challenging environment. Our 4th year medical student rotation is the highest rated required clinical rotation in the medical school. Numerous faculty are research leaders in the area of emergency medicine, some of whom are conducting NIH-sponsored research.
