A Home Economics graduate of the University of Georgia, Vera has cultivated a talent for preparation and presentation that has brought both success and recognition to her catering business since the 1980s. However, as the local economy started slowing in the early 1990s, Vera started searching for new ways to expand and diversify. To that end, she launched VeryVera in 1993, a mail order subsidiary of Vera & Company specializing in homemade baked goods.

read moreWhen I got to observe the filming of the first show of Season 7, and seeing what a natural Vera is in front of the camera. I am in awe of what the staff accomplishes in their daily routines. When we went to Cashiers, NC to cater an event and had to figure out the logistics of getting all of the event items (van included) up a 1/4 mile hill, which was pretty steep. This was an absolutely beautiful property and they ended up loving our team, it was a great success! In Spring 2015, VeryVera launched an internship program for The VeryVera Show and various other aspects of the VeryVera brand.
