Wayne County Retirement System

The Wayne County Employees? Retirement Sytem was created under the authority of Act. No. 156 of the Public Acts of 1851, as amended, by Act 249 of the Public Acts of 1943. The Board of Supervisors adopted an ordinance on August 8, 1944, establing the Wayne County Employees? Retirement System to become effective on December 01, 1944. Since it's inception the Wayne County Employees? Retirement System has offered retirement and related benefits for 1000's of Wayne County public employees Today the System serves nearly 10, 000 active and retired members.
