read moreThe Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) launched the Wood Smoke Reduction Program, a voluntary pilot program that encourages homeowners to "Heat Clean, Save Green" by providing $500-$1,000 in cash incentives to help them remove or replace their wood-burning fireplaces or woodstoves. Obviously, we recommend the selling of a gas insert as your client will receive a $500 voucher to remove their fireplace totally, or they'll receive a $1000 voucher to have a gas insert installed (and they'll get to keep their fireplace!)
