In late 2000 a couple of friends who just spent three hard years trying to build a portfolio of successful Internet or online firms came up with an idea that stood out from all the rest. The idea was kosher food and serving the huge kosher community. From that moment Kosher.com was created. By late 2001 Kosher.com was an operating online website servicing kosher consumers. Food items, from traditional foods like fresh baked challas, gefilta fish, and stuffed cabbage, to simple grocery items were all available and Kosher.com Had close to 5, 000 products on its website available for delivery to anyone anywhere in need of strictly kosher supervised food.
