Set up in 1975 by Harold Nix, Western Rib-Eye became renowned for having one of the 1st and best salad bars in the tri-state area and for great cuts of beef, speedily making this western-motif restaurant one of Evansville's top steakhouses. In 1985, with the addition of sons Dan and Dave, Western Rib-Eye added to its menu and underwent an extensive renovation to a more contemporary decor. Well into the 2nd generation of the family business, Dan and Dave expanded the restaurant's name to Western Rib-Eye & Ribs and are continuing the tradition of excellence founded by their father.
