About Us
read moreThe White Gull Inn has been in the Coulson family since 1972, when 24-year-old Andy Coulson purchased the inn with four friends. Andy and his wife Jan became the sole owners in 1981 and continued as innkeepers until 2018, when they turned the reins over to daughter and son-in-law Meredith and Chris Coulson-Kanter. Andy and Jan, pictured with Meredith and Chris, are delighted the inn is staying in the family, and continue to work alongside the next generation. The story of the Coulson family's first 40 years at the White Gull Inn is on the White Gull blog, or you can watch the video of our time at the White Gull which aired on Door County Today television.
