Here is how we came to be. Early in the twentieth century a Scottish immigrant settled in Wichita Falls and became an established insurance executive. Fred Couper and his wife had both been avid golfers in Scotland so, after seeing a need for such a club in the area, Mr. Couper became the main instrument in the beginnings of a golfing club.

The Club has several committees who are charged with ensuring that the facility is operated in a manner that promotes a close-knit member-management relationship. As a member, depending on your membership type, you have the opportunity to be a part of these committees and the Board of Governors. We welcome you to enjoy everything this club has to offer, and we invite members to participate in any and all Club endeavors in which they are interested, including committee membership, Board membership or helping plan member parties for the season!

read moreOur parkland style 18-hole course is situated in the Southeast part of town. The Wichita Falls Country Club, recently renovated in 2008 by D.A. Weibring and Steve Wolford has mature trees, bent grass greens, and Bermuda fairways. The course, which has five sets of tees, measures 6,917 yards from the back tee and 4,827 from the closest tee and gives plenty of options to all skill level of golfers. The full practice area on site includes state of the art driving range, pitching, chipping, bunker play and putting green.

read moreMichael has been playing tennis since he was 11 years old. Michael was #1 and #2 in the state ranking in 16 and 18 as a junior player. He was also top 20 in the Southern Section! Michael attended Midwestern state as a tennis player. Michael has had many accomplishments, but what says the most about him is the accomplishments of his athletes. Michael has been coaching full-time for 18 years and been at the club since 2002. Michael's passion for the sport is exemplified when he coaches others. His kind spirit and knowledge of the game really makes you love tennis too.
