Flood waters are full of bacteria and will contribute to the increase of ticks and mosquitoes. We expect to see an increase of gastrointestinal diseases from Giardia and other pathogens, in addition to another dangerous pathogen - Leptospirosis - a sometimes lethal bacterial infection in dogs that many people might not know about.
