Works Progress is run and run by Mara Lubell, a creative manager with over twelve years of knowledge in graphic marketing and design. Her professional career started with environmental graphics at Debra Nichols Design in San Francisco. There she was a lead designer of the San Francisco Giants baseball stadium (formerly Pacific Bell Park) From there, Mara segued from environmental design to packaging at the in-house marketing department of The Gap.
