I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Illinois. I moved to the Quad Cities in 1968 with my parents and three sisters. I enlisted into the Navy after graduating from Bettendorf High School. In 1974 I had the possibility to make a brief stop in Mombassa, Kenya. While in Kenya I went on a 36 hour camera safari. At the time my camera equipment consited of a Kodak 110 Instamatic. The pictures I took were at finest very amateurish. In my minds eye I can still see those images which I captured during those brief hours. This was my 1st experience with capturing images that I would like to share with others.
