Yarbourgh Transfer

John Yarbrough took over the business in 1946 and expanded on the firm's moving & storage roots by getting into the heavy haul and rigging business. In the early 1960s, John owned both the 1st hydraulic crane and the 1st removable gooseneck trailer in the state of North Carolina. In the early 1970s, Jim Yarbrough, the 3rd generation in the family business, formed and operated Road Builders Transport, which eventually merged with Yarbrough Transfer Company to become the entity which survives today.
