The studio, now in it's twenty 5th year of operation, offers acting programs and acting classes that are uniquely designed to meet the requirements of the twenty-1st century actor and manager working in film and theatre. The Acting Studio. Inc. is committed equally to development of skills at the best level through intensive short-term and long-term classes, and to the application of those skills in work on open-classes and group projects and on productions for public performance produced in conjunction with Chelsea Repertory Company. The success of many of its students enables the studio to make claim to developing award-winning talent.

Since its first inception 1983, the Studio has provided students with the kind of professional actor training needed to develop themselves into first-rate craftsmen. The Studio has also provided them with a home-base wherein they can gain experience outside the classroom which complements their classroom training and helps them in the transition from the classroom into the acting industry.

read moreA professional standard in work ethics and discipline is required to achieve craft mastery. Students must be highly motivated and be able to maintain The Acting Studio - New York's professional standard of conduct. Every class is limited in enrollment to assure each student the opportunity to work in each class. Individual attention is provided in privately conducted classes that allow the student to establish a professional bond with his/her instructors, all of whom are highly trained and experienced professionals.
International Students Acting Classes
read moreThe Acting Studio - New York welcomes English-speaking foreign students and currently hosts students from all around the world. We recommend that students look at our full-time 6-Week Acting Conservatory. You may participate in this program on a B-2 Tourist or ESTA visa as a short recreational course of study which is usually good for 3 month visit or longer. However, please note the Studio does not offer F-1 Student Visas that require an I-20 for particiation in an accredited course of study. Those students coming from outside of the United States to study in a much longer term programs must find a visa solution on their own.
