Al's Rock Of Ages Tattoo
Tattoos & Piercings in San Mateo, CA
I used to work as a stone carver and sculpter making monuments for people and working for a monument firm, The Rock of Ages Monument Company. When I began working on tattoos I found out that a popular traditional back piece was located on the Rock of Ages illustrations in old Christian hymn books from around 100 to 150 years ago. One of the reasons it grown into a popular back piece is because especially back in the 1930's, during the Great Depression, they could make a little money selling apples on the corner, or a wealth of money being a tattooed attraction in the circus.
