General Credit Union

General Credit Union was chartered on April 25, 1960, by the National Credit Union Administration. Established by General Telephone employees, the credit union has reached over $84. 6 million in assets as of May 31, 2009. In addition to employees of GTE (Verizon) the credit union opened its membership to other employee groups. Lincoln Financial Group, Comcast, The Fort Wayne Komets, and Physicians Health Plan employees are a few of the firms eligible for membership.
