Both Lush and Body Shop are marketing to the eco-freaks, but neither of them are acceptable. Both started with nice intentions and natural folk formulas, but through the years, it has proved easier and cheaper to source chemical and synthetic products. Body Shop for example is constantly failing its formaldehyde tests, and enables its sources to test on animals. They just don't test on animals themselves. Or at least, didn't use to, before they were sold? Lush promotes itself as handmade and fresh, but nowhere does it say natural, organic, or vegan.
