Under the direction of Board Chairman Marc I. Korn, our not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 organization was set up in 1983 to raise money for one of the biggest hospitals in Israel. Although little known in the US, Assaf Harofeh Medical Center cares for an ever growing population in central Israel that now numbers close to 450, 000. That number will exceed one-half million during the next five years. The medical center is named after the 2nd most famous physician in Jewish history after the Rambam (Maimonides)
