St Francis Public Library

Construction of the 1st St. Francis Public Library started in the fall of 1986. The two-story structure, funded by the City of St. Francis, consisted of 19, 200 square feet. On January 19, 1987, the 1st library manager started the work of organizing the new library. A classroom at Thompson School became the workroom-office for ordering and processing books and magazines, selecting equipment, performing administrative tasks, purchasing provides, and etc.
