read moreWhether you are new to Unitarian Universalism or are a member of this congregation, we are pleased you are visiting our website to learn more about our Religious Education Program for Children and Youth. We offer classes for nursery through 8th grade at both our 9:15 and 11:15 a.m. Families gather together each Sunday morning in the Sanctuary for a few moments of shared worship. After a Time for All Ages, children and youth depart for Religious Education classes which meet downstairs. Stop by our RE Welcome Desk if you have any questions.

read moreOur Sunday worship services are the cornerstone of UUCA, a time when most of our members gather. The service usually includes music, readings, reflections, and a sermon - although at times they may be different and creative in form. We offer free nursery care for infants and toddlers and a religious education program for children and youth during both services. For high schoolers, there is a youth group that meets only during the 11:15 service. We also have a "Worship Caf" - a large reception room where our services are livestreamed.

read moreAlthough Unitarianism and Universalism have long histories, our church had its genesis in World War II. Rationing and shortages made it difficult to get to All Souls in Washington, the only Unitarian Church in the area. Arlington Unitarians began meeting wherever local space could be found and in early 1945, the Arlington Fellowship was formally organized as a constituent body of All Souls Church. In 1948 The Fellowship became the Unitarian Church of Arlington and was renamed the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington in 1994.
