Career Online High School offers free accredited diplomas and career certificates to adults seeking advancement. The program has awarded 297 scholarships, helping participants secure promotions and pursue higher education. The Resilience Corps program trains young adults in education, technology, and public service while supporting K-8 learning recovery. Associates earn living wages while gaining professional experience and development training. The initiative has served 6,500+ students and provided 3,200+ professional development hours to caregivers.
Adult Literacy
Our Adult Literacy & ESL program pairs learners with tutors for personalized instruction in reading, writing, and English language skills. In 2023, 183 adults worked with 134 volunteers to achieve personal goals like obtaining driver's licenses, citizenship, and starting businesses through one-on-one support.
Cultural Programs
We promote diverse arts through Teen ARTrepeneurs, literary contests, and the California Room's historical archives. The program teaches creative entrepreneurship and preserves local history with digital collections of maps, newspapers, and cultural artifacts accessible to all residents.
