Trinity Lutheran | Worship, Education, and Community
Trinity Lutheran, a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, has served Springfield, Illinois since 1839. Our congregation is dedicated to connecting people to the Triune God through worship, education, and community outreach. With a rich history of founding local schools, hospitals, and seminaries, we continue to empower spiritual growth and meet community needs. Our mission emphasizes whole-life stewardship, nurturing relationships, and making disciples through Christ-centered education for all ages. We offer multiple worship services weekly, including traditional and sensory-friendly options, alongside Sunday School and Bible study programs. Our outreach extends locally through food pantries, homeless shelters, and youth programs, while supporting global missions through Lutheran World Relief and seminary scholarships. The church maintains two campuses with modern facilities for worship, education, and community gatherings. With over 180 years of service, we remain committed to downtown Springfield while adapting to contemporary needs. Our strategic plan focuses on strengthening connections at all ministry stages to ensure lasting spiritual impact. Through worship, education, and service, we strive to reflect Jesus Christ's love and grace to all we encounter.
