Dance is an art and yet it is as athletic as the most difficult sport. Many major league coaches require dance to evolve coordination. We at Academie de Ballet and Dance Centre are committed to giving the most professional instruction to not only evolve the student physically, but to evolve mental discipline and an appreciation and respect for others. Many of our students have auditioned and been accepted by major ballet firms exclusive workshop such as: American Ballet Theater, Kirov, Pittsburgh Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Boston Ballet and Alvin Ailey.

read moreThe Academie de Ballet competition team is made up of intermediate and advanced dancers from Academie de Ballet. This dedicated team of dancers is under the direction of Melissa Moore, assisted by Brooke Blackman and Olivia Shedd. The team rehearses on weekends and travels to at least 4 regional competitions and 1 National competition each year. Our dancers are well-rounded and compete in many categories such as ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater, and specialty tumbling. Dancers are selected by the director each year from students at Academie de Ballet and must meet level requirements to be considered.
